When two twenty-something women started Fatima's in 1995, they weren't thinking about legacies or brands. They were just two friends, who loved working, and loved having fun. They were curious, fearless and just naïeve enough to believe they could open a restaurant on their own. And so they did. In the earliest days they developed recipes the way any food-obsessed twenty-something might, by throwing dinner parties. They would gather friends, cook too much, test flavours, and tweak things late into the night. Those dinners became the foundation of the original Fatima's menu.
